"The Camp" History
Station Camp High School was established in 2002. During the establishing years, the baseball program was fortunate enough, through fundraising, sponsorship, and hard work, to build an indoor hitting facility that included two batting cages, indoor pitching area, auxiliary & weight room area, as well as storage area for the field equipment. Construction also was completed on a two story concession stand that include locker rooms, office, and press box area.
Unfortunately, in April 2007, SCHS was hit by a tornado which destroyed the field house and concession buildings, causing the program to work to reconstruct these structures. Upon completion, in May 2010, the greater Nashville area experienced a devastating flood, causing Station Camp Creek to exceed the banks, destroying the field, fencing, hitting facility, and concession stand once more. Nonetheless, the program came together to rebuild once again.
Recent updates in the past few years have included a new scoreboard, replacing the backstop netting, and place a warning track down the sides of the field. In the Spring of 2022, SCHS was fortunate enough to work towards getting the infield turfed, new bullpen mounds, and the dugouts were updated with new benches, fencing, and wrapped on the outside to display logos and local sponsorships. The baseball program continues to make plans to upkeep and improve their facilities.
